'Hulk' TV Show Moving Forward
Guillermo Del Toro is still attached!
The Hulk seems to have no shortage of fans these days. Besides appearing in “The Avengers,” the previously announced "Hulk" television series is moving forward, according to producer Guillermo Del Toro.
It was first announced last year that “Hellboy” director Guillermo del Toro and “Battlestar Galactica” executive producer David Eick were planning to bring the Hulk back to the small screen. Now that some months have passed, Fear Net asked Del Toro if “Hulk” was still happening.
Yeah, yeah, yeah, the director responded.
We turned in the outline to ABC about four weeks ago. And then we did a rewrite for ABC on the outline, and now we are lining up the pages.
Asked if his Hulk would be different from other versions of the iconic green character, Del Toro said,
I think so. Or we wouldn't be trying it. Actually, one of the points of this project early on with Marvel, was ‘We're going to do this thing different, and here's how. Are you interested?’ And they were.
Sounds promising. This is perfect for Del Toro as he has a knack for conveying meaningful and heartfelt personalities in weird and wonderful creatures. However, it seems things will be different from what he have already seen, including the TV series back in the 70's. No idea what form it will be in and how closely it will follw comic book story arc's, but it does sound exciting.
What would like to see in the Show?
